I managed to make it through my teenaged years, adult womanhood, and all the way through menopause and have NEVER experienced the much-vaunted ruined chair. I demand the opportunity to ruin a chair!! I need reparations!!

In 1947, while on crutches, my Mom taped sanitary pads on them, to cushion the top, so they didn’t hurt my armpits.
l also used one when I cut an artery..
