While not a fan of such personally, I don’t know of anything that precludes a Senator of talking with foreign gov officials.

I didn’t think it was that muddy at all...
Franken questions was loaded and a little ambiguous...
Sessions told him he was acting as a surrogate for Trump in a few incidents....
Plus we have no idea what Sessions and the Russian talked about. Obviously, he is a sitting Senator and can talk to anyone he wants too...
Trump needs to make a statement supporting him with about a dozen examples of dem talking to Russians and add McCain talking to known ISIL affiliated terrorist...
