I had dealings with Patty when she was in the state legislature over a quarter of a century ago. She isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she isn't a follower of Gore either. She isn't smart enough to follow anyone but herself. Her protection is the fact that she has one of the best staffs in DC to keep her on message.
I was referring to how she view things as the opposite of what everyone else knows and see.
