ttorney General Jeff Sessions has twice in two days publicly bashed marijuana legalization, abandoning his confirmation-process reticence to discuss the topic and reclaiming his colorful opposition.

On Tuesday, Sessions told a Washington ballroom packed with state attorneys general – many of them in charge of defending laws that conflict with federal prohibition – that pot legalization should be resisted, though he did not describe any specific plans to challenge state-regulated markets.

Attorneys general of three states with laws allowing for recreational sales told U.S. News after the remarks that Sessions needs to clarify his intentions.

Worry about the potheads AFTER you prosecute the corrupt politicians,

There are plenty that meet both criteria.

you should choose not to enforce unconstitutional laws.

Lacking a Supreme Court test, who decides which ones are Constitutional?

but I do think it should be a state by state issue.

Having been born in Oklahoma I remember when the state was dry, lot of interstate commerce resulted from that. I also remember when Missouri had Blue Laws.

I thought Ron and Rand both lost yet here we are.

Never smoked it in my life, no desire to. Letting neighboring states legalize it creates the same problem Mexico does. I remember when we had dry states and wet states we also had plenty of bootleggers.

So do you want every federal regulation enforced, all 10 gazillion of them, or just the ones you want enforced

Stop being an ass hole. We are talking laws. and yes, I want them ether enforced or removed from the books. We are ether a nation of laws or we are not.

Stop being an ass hole.

LOL! You want every federal regulation enforced whether constitutional or not, and you call me an ass hole.

And you still have not addressed the 10th Amendment. Why not?

This is totally a states right issue. Somebody has to grow the weed and make cavanoid oil for medical treatment.

who drives in Manhattan?

There are FIVE boroughs in NYC. Manhattan is only one of them. Enough people drive in these other boroughs to cause bumper to bumper traffic jams.

“So at some point every day you are stoned for hours on end.”

LOL!!! Again, it’s 2017 not 1970. Eating one of my home made edibles is not going to get me stoned ever. Your ignorance is stunning.

I think the base question that many on this forum struggle with is: Should the Federal government be involved.

Certainly they are not trying to solve the whoring problem in Las Vegas...or DC for that matter. When it comes to whiskey all they do is tax it.

And dry counties still get their whiskey and whores. I cite Denton Texas as an example.

Nope, I am saying he knows a losing proposition when he sees it.

Hmmm. So you want to legalize pot in general but what you really want in non intoxication marijuana legalized for medicinal purposes. Isn’t that form of Marijuana legal now? Why the crusade for legalized pot to get stoned on? I don’t get the connection.

“So you want to legalize pot in general but what you really want in non intoxication marijuana legalized for medicinal purposes.”

See, you don’t know that tolerance for X amount of cannabis is why I don’t get “stoned” for hours on end. It’s about dosage & common sense. If I want to get good & high I can but not for hours on end. Sheesh who has that kind of time? Not me.

Cannabis should be legal to own & have. To use as medicine if there is a need. I use it as medicine. Without a medical need I would have never started using it, period.
