She had too much withheld from her salary? I doubt it. This was not a “refund” most likely. This was one of those “tax credits.” Good for this mom, but for millions of folks, these tax “credits” are just another form of the “gimme dat alliance.”

Majority of our elected persons in D.C. are getting refunds....record tax collections for the last 3-4 years....whose money is it anyway?
It was EITC. Credit bit refund. Unfortunately a lot of these are fraudulent and go for big screen tv.
I’m sure its EIC which is just giving them OUR money from OUR taxes to make their lives easier....
Earned income tax credit.
Better to have a tax credit than welfare. Much cheaper on the taxpayers in the end.
