A new law on public bathrooms takes affect in less than a week in California. Starting March 1st, all single use bathrooms must become gender neutral.
The new law means by the end of the month, men or women's single use restrooms in the state will be illegal.

Think I saw this one on CSpan. Candidate for DNC
chairperson from NC as I recall.
Read my comment. This isn’t governments business, and they shouldn’t (obviously) be passing a law.
BUT, if i owned an establishment with 2 one hole bathrooms, I wouldn’t label them men and women. Its not efficient. Take the free one. Sort of like the bathrooms in an airplane.
Your ever day bathroom with multiple urinals, etc, isn’t affected by this law (yet. This IS California of course)
“What lady would ever want to set foot in a mens room - theyre gross.”
Years back I pumped gas, and at the end of the day had to clean the restrooms.
The women’s restroom was ten times filthier than the mens’ - urine on the seats and floor, tampons on the floor, toilet paper (used) on the floor, broken flush handles, lipstick on the mirrors with phone numbers of their jilted lovers - pigs, real pigs.
For maximum effect they have to see yellow puddles on the seats. lifting them up will drain them.
As an added touch, a puddle on the floor can be quite disgusting. They’ll run out of there looking for the nearest bush.
This really is not needed. The number of facilities is required by the plumbing code. Usually a small occupancy has one restroom for each sex. It is not uncommon for a business after a c/o has been issued to then label one for the public and one for private(employee) usage.
If only one person at a time can use the WC I don’t care what the sign on the door reads.
The plumbing inspectors I worked with all claimed the women’s room was always filthier by far than the men’s room.
Doesn’t matter. Most will assume the pee. And, women
hate to have to put the seat down more than men mind
putting the seat up.
Why put it up. At my place, if its down it gets peed through.
I can attest to that. When I was very young, I too worked as a gas station attendant and had to clean the restrooms. The women's restroom was always disgusting, far filthier than the men's. So bad I would take a garden hose and spray it down with the hose before cleaning it out.
I dont want women in mens restrooms and i dont wsnt men in womens restrooms. This is basic stuff. This libthink is an attack on normalcy.
You havent had obnoxious drunk groups of gals barge theirmway into the mens rooms because they want to, and use the stalls. They act like assh0les in dresses.
I would throw these non ladies out on their ears. They have no right to go in there.
John Q. Public can fix this in a flash. Go in the ladies room and pee all over the walls, seats and floors. Let the fascist politicians deal with it. Better yet, make the politicians clean the restrooms.
To save themselves from all the bull**** headaches, all retailers should close all of their restrooms to the public. People can use their own bathrooms before and after they go shopping.
Is this something they'll actually care about, other than when it's most convenient (owner is being a jerk)? I imagine it's another loony CA regulation for them to essentially ignore.
What the hell is a “single use bathroom” anyway? You mean that one small bathroom in the back of a convenience store, with a single toilet and sink, that was never labeled “male” or “female” to begin with?
When they put the free Kotex and Tampon dispensers in make sure you grab some whenever you see them.
They serve as excellent emergency wound dressings.
I have no problem with this - single use means only one person at a time. Anyone else here ever used the “ladies” room because it was vacant and the men’s room was occupied?
Yes.
I had the occasion of having to clean bathrooms as one of my duties in a job I had years ago. Found out right away, Men's Rooms dirty, Women's Rooms beyond nasty.
Or you could just not lift the toilet seat at all before you pee, and be careless with your aim. THAT would make women rethink their position on sharing bathrooms with men.
Adding glory holes to the women’s restrooms?
