This article was written by one of the enemy. Nice try Ben but do better next time. I have come across this in my personal life albeit on a much smaller scale but it is the same principle. An almost total stranger to me, very reasonable explained, why I should stab a friend in the back and side with them. There was no actual substance to their argument but it was all so reasonable and of course I would go along it.
They were of course not pleased when I informed them otherwise.

As defined by a purist who has born during the Reagan administration. As defined by someone too young to remember purists like himself for whom Reagan wasn’t principled enough. As defined by someone who doesn’t remember guilt-by-association smears against Reagan identical to his own linking of Trump with David Duke.
Presidents are elected by coalitions. No one gets all that they want. You either join the coalition and help, or like little Ben Shapiro you can stand on the outside throwing rocks and helping the enemy.
