University of Pennsylvania student James Fisher took to the Ivy League schools student newspaper to complain that a professors refusal to acknowledge white privilege was a traumatic experience for him. Fisher claims that fall 2016 semester was his worst semester at the University of Pennsylvania because a white professor refused to acknowledge his privilege.
"Last semester was honestly the worst semester Ive had at Penn so far. And all because of one thing: the white professors Ive had at Penn. It appears that the term privilege does not apply to them. Nor do they care to learn what it is."
After one of his professors refused to acknowledge his privilege, Fisher claims that he was unable to attend that class for a month, saying he did not want to step foot into another white space until I made sure that my mental health was restored.
Fisher detailed his experience in the classroom, claiming that the professor, a white man from the suburbs, cultivated a classroom environment that caused him trauma.
"Unfortunately, he proved my suspicions to be true. There were countless times that his lack of acknowledgment of his privilege led to some of the trauma that I experienced in class. He would show images of slaves on plantations and even allow students to say ignorant comments in class."
Fisher claims that he confronted the professor after class, telling him that lack of awareness of personal privilege had caused him racial trauma.
"I remember having an intense conversation after class. I basically told him that what he was doing was traumatic to me, and as someone who has experienced a lot of racial trauma in his life, I would not allow him to continue.

“If he refuses, well then I hope he knows how to fill out an Application for Welfare because the chance of him ever getting a Job are NON EXISTENT!”
Great! Another school I don’t need to hire from.
Quick! Drop this jerk into quicksand!
Student james fisher’s parents should stop paying for his schooling. This clod is wasting space at the university. What a snowflake putz.
Yet Fisher still goes to Penn for free.
The professor needs to tell him if he dislikes the class, he can drop the course, request a transfer to another class more suited to his likes (perhaps basket weaving might do)or just, “get the “F” out and don’t come back”! Freaking whiney, crybaby, thumb sucker.
Draft him into the USMC. This boy needs to man up big time. His parents ought to be ashamed.
A whole lot of business owners I know won’t even hire anyone that Graduated from LA Unified, they look for the dropouts because it demonstrates they were smart enough to get OUT of a Failed System.
I’m paraphrasing Dr. Jordan Peterson.
The craziest issue with “identities” - teachers are being told not to assume gender, but do assume ethnicity/race AND various attitudes, beliefs and acceptable behaviors based on said demographic assignment.
Can we just change this idea to “majority priviledge”? I would bet the farm if those that complain the most were the majority they would exhibit priviledge like no other, except perhaps muslims.
Majority priviledge, not white priviledge.
The student has been indoctrinated into an obsession. Of course that is how the Left creates sheeple, IT’S sheeple, getting them to see their obsession as that of a “social justice warrior”, and thereby a justifiable obsession.
It doesn’t take much to traumatize a Social Justice Warrior, does it? I’m sure he’s whining about how the professor’s disagreement amounted to a “microaggression”. One can only wonder what would happen if these SJW’s were confronted with authentic (macro?) aggression instead of allegedly traumatic polite disagreement. Would they just go into their safe space corners, wilt, and die?
Wouldn’t it be cool if the prof sued this imbecile for some kind of harassment?
This is thuggery, pure and simple. Nothing snowflakey about it.
