AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A federal judge ruled Tuesday that Texas can't cut off Medicaid dollars to Planned Parenthood over secretly recorded videos taken by anti-abortion activists in 2015 that launched Republican efforts across the U.S. to defund the nation's largest abortion provider.
An injunction issued by U.S. District Sam Sparks of Austin comes after he delayed making decision in January and essentially bought Planned Parenthood an extra month in the state's Medicaid program.
Texas is now at least the sixth state where federal courts have kept Planned Parenthood eligible for Medicaid reimbursements for non-abortion services, although a bigger question remains over whether President Donald Trump will federally defund the organization.

Federal Judges have been exercising the power of the purse over school districts for two or three generations. Wrecked the KCMO school district. It’s only now starting to recover.
Fascist judges need to be reminded that they have no Constitutional power to create or nullify law. The best way to remind these black-robe Nazis is by impeaching, removing and indicting them for treason.
Then hang them until dead.
Judges rule America. The Constitution be damned.
It’s time for president Trump to get his lawyers together and put a stop to this BS...
Get Gorsuch on the SC, then stop all this.....
If I were Texas I would ignore the ruling and ask the judge where in any constitution does he have the power to tax or direct tax dollars.
Patriots are reminded that the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds the specific power to regulate, tax and spend in the name of INTRAstate healthcare or for abortion purposes. This is evidenced by the following excerpts from official sources.
"State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress [emphasis added]. Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
Drain the swamp! Drain the swamp!
Remember in November 18 !
Since Trump entered the 16 presidential race too late for patriots to make sure that there were state sovereignty-respecting candidates on the primary ballots, patriots need make sure that such candidates are on the 18 primary ballots so that they can be elected to support Trump in draining the unconstitutionally big federal government swamp.
Such a Congress will also be able to finish draining the swamp with respect to getting the remaining state sovereignty-ignoring, activist justices off of the bench.
Noting that the primaries start in Iowa and New Hampshire in February 18, patriots need to challenge candidates for federal office in the following way.
Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitutions Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal governments powers.
Patriots also need to find candidates that are knowledgeable of the Supreme Court's clarifications of the federal governments limited powers listed above.
Elections are meaningless, the president is powerless... We are all run by appointed judges.
the legislature could, if it wants to, assert its legitimate tax, policy, and appropriations powers
and refuse to accept or comply with the judge
‘how many tanks has the judge?”
eventually, the judicial over-stepping of elected officials’ proper functions... needs to be stopped
we need a good honest judiciary, not one that thinks it is a bunch of Stalins in black robes
If no one fights it and it succeeds, a precedent will be established.
Yes, KC is where they built a high school for over $1 billion. It included a reproduction of a pioneer’s cabin complete with full-time caretaker. Huge swimming pool for a student body that didn’t swim. Money was no object, he was going to draw in those reluctant white students from the suburbs. He also was a decade or so behind the times in terms of technology schools actually used. So he ordered up loads of 16mm film projectors that only the oldest of the staff even knew how to use.
Where is the spineless congress over ruling this nonsense
do it anyways.
shut down as many as possible on violations and technicalities and zoning problems and whatever else they can throw at them.
Everyone should read Charles Murray’s book...”By the People”...it’s a slog...but needs reading
PP has two branches, an abortion branch and a non-abortion branch. The abortion branch gets name goodwill equity from the non-abortion branch.
If such a thing as what the states have wanted were to go down, my guess is that the non-abortion branch would change names and reappear at the table.
Specific activities need to be identified. I’d suggest the states address this on the level of name infamy. If you are going to get support from us, you can’t be serving as an advertisement for an abortion services company.
Bushes can’t pick judges worth a d**n. Their rancid legacy will live on for at least 20 more years as Leftist judges rule against the will of the people, an ongoing attack on freedom.
President Trump has the opportunity to appoint between 35 and 40 percent of the federal judiciary. Revenge is a dish best served cold.
Oh let’s hope he is successful!
Radical High Priests...
Someone please let me know when the rule of law is officially over.
It is high time to water the tree of liberty.
