He’s an idealogue hoping for good press. The Hamilton County Sheriff, in which Cincinnati lies, has declared that he simply will not go along with the mayor. He’ll inform ICE. The same with the state treasurer, Josh Mandel.
Hope is all he has, apparently. He voted in lockstep with the lefties then took the coward’s way out when asked some very simple, practical questions about the ramifications.
The First Amendment dodge was as bizarre as it was irrelevant. It doesn’t require a vote of the council or the dogcatcher department to exercise or endorse free speech. Moreover, free speech may have serious consequences that can’t be excused away by claiming that it was all harmless rhetoric.
Sanctuary city, streetcar debacle, tying the hands of police - it seems Cincinnati is determined to undo all the good since 2000-2001.
