(and the Church of the Nazarene used to be a rather traditional Protestant church in the Holiness (entire sanctification) mode of Wesleyanism...you could quibble with a doctrine or two but the overall ethos of the church used to be, well, quite recognizably evangelical... think James Dobson and Bill Gaither (and don’t mention Gary Hart, ha!) ... has it gone over to the ‘progessive” dark side, or??? I sure hope not, there are already far too many ‘progressive” Christian and Jewish congregations around nowadays...imho)
anyway, of all the prayers one might recite, it is beyond understranding how anyone in the audience could really objext to the Lord’s prayer
it is short, beautiful and basically non-denominational too
