Gospel belief came with white people, but the situation was bruised. Race based chattel slavery was a fly in the ointment, one whose stink has wafted down the years to us today. Racial envies and jealousies caused America to be asking the wrong questions. Discovering that we should be children of God (not just creatures but children) which means in turn accepting divine redemption, is what America needs. Forget race.
