Yes, this is a way for victims of sex abuse as a young person to rationalize what happened to them. They lived, they weren’t shot or knifed, the molester was “kindly,” and this is how they live with that memory of abuse. I don’t think it is fair to accuse him of pedophilia or condoning it.
My dad was a childhood Holocaust survivor and told wonderful stories of his happy times as a child refugee with no family. He knew damn well that was a rough childhood. But he chose to enjoy the little things like candy bars in his gas mask.
Come on, the same people ripping Milo a new one said NOTHING each time Woody Allen won an award. Or Roman Polanski. Milo touched no child.
