President Donald Trumps constant fear-mongering about terrorism is irresponsible and dangerous. He needs to stop attacking the legitimacy of the judiciary. He picked an attorney general with anti-liberty positions on surveillance and police seizure of property.
Those tough assessments come not from one of the presidents critics in the Democratic Party, but from a conservative Republican House member whose district decisively backed Mr. Trump in the election.
Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan has emerged as one of the leading Republican critics of the president, using a tool Mr. Trump himself often employsan assertive presence on Twitterto challenge and even taunt the president. It’s those Amash again.
“Born in Grand Rapids, and raised in Kentwood, Amash is a second-generation Arab-American of Palestinian Christian and Syrian Greek Orthodox descent. His father, Attallah, is a Palestinian business owner, whose family emigrated to the United States in 1956 through the sponsorship of a Christian pastor and his family. His mother, Mimi, is a Syrian immigrant to the United States.”

Reminds me if The Pope of Greenwich Village. Substitute Arab for Irish. “Third cousins for Arabs is like brothers to you and me.”

The 3rd Dist is the “Do Nothing, Know Nothing, DEAD ZONE” of Michigan.
Palestinian Arab (Christian) from Michigan. Check out his financial transactions please, Mr. Sessions.
Amash and Ben Sasse have been YUGE anti-Trump disappointments.
Looks like we are really late in putting in extreme vetting. This trash came here in 1956.
When the WSJ brands someone a conservative I’m always suspicious.
I’m sure he’ll take Trump down any day now.
Who?
Well guess what, Justin, Trump is trying to save your ass whether you like it or not.
Enjoy your last 22 months in office
