I was down on Rush after he took sides and was shilling for Cruz.It was all to obvious and out of character for him.As I said at the time it was not so much that he picked Cruz it was that he picked “anyone” at all during the primaries. We expected him to e fair and balanced yet he wasn’t for a short, short time.

Well yes. Up to a point.

But would we Freepers have been happy with a neutral Rush standing up for Christy Creme or Jeb? We would have had a hissy-fit. We expect Rush to support the most conservative candidates over the RINOs and I think that is what he did. I suppose he leaned in the Cruz direction a bit. Not as strongly as I but a little.

But once the nomination was in Trumps hands Rush was all in.

Me too despite the bashing I received defending the Cruz reputation. Cruz fought a good fight and lost to the better candidate. And Rush is certainly all in for Trump and is right now our biggest media asset. He was great today particularly on his opening comment about the phony Fake News Russia + Trump nonsense for which there remains ZERO proof.

I agree also. I felt Rush seemed jealous of Trump’s success during campaign, and considering him as not a true conservative, But but he recognized Trump as a populist like himself, an advocate and understander of the common man and woman, and thus pulled his 180.

Don’t forget Sean Hannity who stood by Trump after he was nominated (and kept it fair for Trump during the scrum of the primaries). Sean is especially proud of his role because they are both New Yawkers. You notice Trump had a long sit down with Sean in the White House after he became President. It was ostensibly “with Fox” but they sure as H didn’t sent Shep or Geraldo.

Hannity is hammered by both sides constantly. I think he is underestimated.My guess is that Sean’s biggest problem is that he is constantly compared to Rush which is a non-starter to begin with.Rush is Rush and Hannity has his own style,by the book he’s as good as there is.

Sean gets a lot of criticism for talking over his guests. I personally think he beats dead horses too long, but then again that may be a valid method to drive points home. Finally, his biggest drawback (for us heartland people) is his NY accent. Otherwise he is perfect, humble origins, hard worker, really cares about people, has been to the border, is always going to where the story is. We will need a new Rush some day. He will not keep it up forever. And his fill ins are usually terrible (except Mark Steyn, but I would not want a steady diet of Steyn). Maybe Rush should have Milo guest host!! ☺

Many of us here in Texas still think Senator Cruz IS AWESOME. And we will be voting for his re-election in the Primary in a short Thirteen Month

As I watched the Rush interview I couldn’t help but marvel at the debt our nation owes to Rush Limbaugh. Rush Limbaugh invented alternative media. Rush Limbaugh broke the Leftist media monopoly. Rush Limbaugh made it acceptable to publicly speak the truth.

Oh you expressed in words exactly how I feel. I never ONCE doubted Rush during all the hectic attacks he got here on FR over support for CRUZ...he came right back and was on TRUMP's side after the primaries. yes, God Bless You Rush Limbaugh.
