Those that had negative reviews for the most part objected that it did not follow the book exactly or didn’t handle a scenario as they had wished.
FANTASY IS FANTASY. I have always liked Tim Burton’s work. Another great movie from this past year (fantasy again if you like this genre) is Fantastic Animals and where to find them. A prequel to the Harry Potter flicks
