Well, GodDam
Things are getting better here. We will be ok.
Ford built quite a few darns in Mich.
“88 potential high-hazard dams are approaching 50 years old, the average engineered life span for a dam”
For all dams or just earthen dams? That seems a short life span
We have tons of little “dams.” They are not the dams that hold a lot of water back necessarily. They are more for taking water from one level to another or keeping it under control. For instance, most towns along the River Raisin have dams.
Menominee River watershedd. Every single last one of them are well over 50 years old.
Are we supposed to take them down then, if still ‘needed,’ rebuild them every 50 years? Or with maintenance can we stretch the cycle and rebuild them less often (every 80 years, 200 years or whatever?). Or are we supposed to do without them (according to engineers not anti-human greenies?) If we need to spend money on maintenance and replacement that should be worked into appropriate budgets before considering less critical, relatively optional, expenses like higher wages, benefits and pensions for government lackeys.
If the press were consistent with their treatment of politicians, they would be running stories left and right why obama didnt fix these dams in his last 8 years.
The American Soviet press.
Everything good and working perfect when comrade president in office. Criticism indicates thoughtcrime and racism.
Nothing working and at risk of great disaster when incompetent political enemy is president. Criticismmindicates patriotism and fighting oppression.
Looks like people are getting in line for the coming infrastructure stimulus $$$$$$$.
