Former U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) was a guest Tuesday on "Mornings with Maria" discussing how the intelligence community is seeming to upend President Donald Trump in the wake of Michael Flynn's resignation as national security adviser. * snip *
"The American people have to know that there's a game going on inside the intelligence community where there are those who want to separate the U.S. from Russia in a way that would reignite the Cold War," Kucinich said.

Is he still married to that tall beautiful vegetarian?
Yes, and defending our President more than several Republicans.
Hillary Clintons desire to play chicken with the Russian military was the most dangerous game in recent memory. Until the Democrats renounce their unholy alliance with Islam and anti-Semitism they are in the dustbin of history.
I agree
Isn’t it weird that Kucinich has actually started making sense?

It is an upside-down world. And we are lucky that Hillary did not take on Kucinich as a campaign adviser. Kucinich is a champion of the working class (in his own lib way). With him, Hillary might have had a shot at the rust-belt states.
It is weird that Kucinich is making sense, but give him credit. He sees where this is going. If the intelligence community can upend a president he doesn’t like, it can upend a president he does. In fact, the intelligence community becomes our “Praetorian Guard” as it was in the days of the Roman Empire when they made and deposed Emperors as they saw fit. And that is something we absolutely must avoid.
The intelligence community silent coup against the lawfully elected president is the greatest threat to our Constitution ever. And that is not empty hyperbole.
This is a political thread, Mercat. Not a thread about beautiful women. Oh, wait. I forgot this was Free Republic. Here ya go!
Well, a stopped clock is right twice a day.
I think the alphabet agencies are through messing with Trump now. I think they made their point and it was a warning to keep the status quo with minimal upheaval they know he wants to create.
When Trump went after them in the press and then publicly trashed them just before and after his inauguration he pissed a whole lot of upper echelon type people off. Yes of course there are Baraq holdovers more than eager to hurt anyone they can in order to slap Trump with another headache in the press.
I think this is all about keeping the status quo, a warning to back off on purge we all know needs to happen finally. I don’t see Trump backing down though, it’s just not in his nature, but if he keeps it out of the press and it all goes behind the scenes this heavy handed stuff will go back to a low simmer.
(Of course, JIMHO - YMMV)
Remember that it was the liberal Church Committee in the 1970s that reined in the CIA the first time. Conservatives opposed it then. Perhaps it was a good idea.
This is still Kucinich, so only once a day for me. I put him on military time years ago.
And they are directed by whom?
Our best response - a minimal collection...
I saw Piers Morgan on tv last night talking about what a non story this whole Russian thing was other than it was against Trump. He made perfect sense which was surprising.
Maybe some libs have finally had enough of this stupid crap too.
I have always respected Kucinich. He has integrity even though I disagree with most of his views.
It’s like the Venona Project and Truman’s Administration.
I feel the same way. I disagree with most of what he proposes but still respect him as he seems to be a genuine person who doesn’t act maliciously.
I actually bumped into him several years ago. He and his wife were exiting the same Southwest Airlines plane I happened to be on.
He’s certainly not pretentious, and is probably a good example of an honest liberal.
Beware, be very aware of the devil in the fancy suit. He will stab you in the back.
