Jimmy Carter has repeatedly violated the Logan Act since the day he left office in 1981.
Still a free man so far as I know.
mcCain and Graham need to have their cowboy diplomacy rolled up
Trump needs to go on the offense here
Yep. Anybody who is in the USG who attends Davos, Bilderberger, or any other globalist meeting w/o official US diplomatic accreditation is violating the Logan Act.
Who does the Logan Act exempt?
Logan act hypocrisy bump for later....
If Flynn can be nailed for calling the Russian ambassador then McCain can be nailed for calling the Australian ambassador recently to apologize “in the name of the American people”.
Sounds good to me. Arrest both of them (and Jimmy Carter also!).
Ha—can we finally see McCain and Graham frog-marched away?
Although I’d love to see it, even Trump doesn’t have the balls to pull this off. He can, however, go after a few of the most vulnerable to send a clear message the rest of the snakes.
Lock Them Up!
I read the FBI cleared Gen Flynn of any wrong doing so everything the left is putting out there is bogus reporting......If Flynn did NO wrong then he did NOT violate any rules including the Login Act! Time we push back against the FAKE NEWS the bias media keeps throwing out there
Logan Act Background:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logan_Act
note the latest entries. Someone needs to update.
The Act was passed following George Logan’s unauthorized negotiations with France in 1798, and was signed into law by President John Adams on January 30, 1799.
The Act was last amended in 1994, and violation of the Logan Act is a felony.
(Anyone know what the amendment did?)
Any thoughts on the proposed revision of 2006?
A good analysis from Iowa Public Radio?

Has anyone ever been prosecuted under the Logan Act?
Anyone...Bueller?
The question of “who should be prosecuted” is one for the Department of Justice. Methinks that AG Jeff Sessions will not come to the same conclusion that this professor did. There are more pressing matters - like finding and prosecuting the miscreant(s) who spied on a private American citizen and who violated the Espionage Act by disclosing a method of intelligence collection.
Waste of time.
Logan Act has NEVER been enforced, and any lawyer now who couldn’t get a client off of that charge should be disbarred.
Serious Logan Act violations would also run afoul of a number of other laws.
I completely agree with the law and that it could be used.
Problem is that it should be used; actually should already have been used many times during the recent past.
Problem #2 is USAgov and therefore USA is largely conquered by enemies foreign and domestic. Most good people have no idea how far gone things are.
To be honest I pray the Pres Trump will do much to reverse the complete collapse of lawful law in USA; But, with so few people even realizing how completely illegal much of what DC has become is, there will be no recovery.
