U.S. intelligence officials have withheld sensitive intelligence from President Donald Trump because they are concerned it could be leaked or compromised, according to current and former officials familiar with the matter.
The officials’ decision to keep information from Mr. Trump underscores the deep mistrust that has developed between the intelligence community and the president over his team’s contacts with the Russian government, as well as the enmity he has shown toward U.S. spy agencies. On Wednesday, Mr. Trump accused the agencies of leaking information to undermine him.
In some of these cases of withheld information, officials have decided not to show Mr. Trump the sources and methods that the intelligence agencies use to collect information, the current and former officials said. Those sources and methods could include, for instance, the means that an agency uses to spy on a foreign government.

Well, now that you posted this, I will tell you that about two hours ago, I emailed the WH with this very idea.
Put him in charge of Purging the Deep State and creating agencies with integrity, which respect the rights of private citizens. He knows the people, the infrastructure, and has the technical knowledge. He has strong motivation to restore our republic to one of honor.
Give him full pardon and immunity and then task him with the job!
It would be a win-win, and would make the Deep State go even more bonkers. LOVE it!

The NSA reports within the Department of Defense, which of course is Mattis’s responsibility.
And what is the NSA at this point doing still with an Obama holdover in charge of it? Trump and Mattis are really both to blame for that.

If you can’t fire them. Take away their guns and security clearances and redefine their jobs as street sweepers or sheep dingers or bedpan jockies at the VA hospitals or whatever task we need to fill. Start from scratch.

The ridiculous scope of the undermining anti-Trump media narrative is growing exponentially more stupid as the content of their “stories” never match the alarmist headlines they are attempting.
The latest example from Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal is so over-the-top ridiculous, even the Office of the Director of National Intelligence rebuked it publicly.
The Wall Street Journal leads with a headline: “Spies Keep Intelligence From Donald Trump on Leak Concerns”… (there might be a paywall, so we’ll screen grab the lead)
