Former CBS News anchor Dan Rather slammed the Trump administration on Tuesday evening for its association with former national security adviser Mike Flynn, claiming "this Russia scandal" might end up being as "big as Watergate."
As Rather wrote in a Facebook post ...
Watergate is the biggest political scandal of my lifetime, until maybe now. It was the closest we came to a debilitating Constitutional crisis, until maybe now. On a 10 scale of armageddon for our form of government, I would put Watergate at a 9. This Russia scandal is currently somewhere around a 5 or 6, in my opinion, but it is cascading in intensity seemingly by the hour. And we may look back and see, in the end, that it is at least as big as Watergate. It may become the measure by which all future scandals are judged. It has all the necessary ingredients, and that is chilling.

As a reminder, Rather, who conservatives have long accused of having a liberal bias, retired in 2005 from the anchor's chair after his flawed stories on George W. Bush's Air National Guard service record.

Make that Commander IN Chief.
I’m so pissed off at these libtards I can’t type straight anymore!
A mind is a terrible thing to waste...
They realized that President Trump was going to snatch the Supreme Court away from them in the moment of their victory [Hillary's presidential win], and 0bama the Seditionist took steps [conspired] with other government minions to precipitate this "Russian mess" before he left [the NSA maneuvers], after the ignominious defeat of The Felon.
Now, they're attempting to leverage that conspiracy into an assault on the Presidency itself. Sedition of the most foul sort, it is.
Once again, we'd best deal with the problem DURING the seditious and illegal assault on Trump's Presidency - or the conspirators will know that our guns are just a paper tiger.
I agree with you. How can we help?
Now we hear from the star of liargate. I thought he died.
Well, we know we can trust Dan Rather’s opinion...
