The hatred of Russia runs deep and Russia checkmated the plan to overthrow Assad with Saudi-Qatari financed jihadists called the “Syrian Civil War.”
Putin’s support of Assad led to the Ukraine operation (overthrowing the democratically elected pro-Russian gov’t) in 2014 IMHO.
All Putin did was fight back in Crimea and with military deployment to Syria.
