The entire criminal justice system is like that.
Not just traffic fines.
When I unfortunately lived in the east coast leftist sewerhole posing as a city - New York city, what they would do is play that game with the cameras - which they have all over the city by the way - And if you didn’t pay the ticket they would raised the fine, adding a fine on top of a fine. And if you didn’t pay that you would eventually get another scam ticket from one of those cameras, and if you eventually go to owing the city over $250 in fines they would tow your car. I grew up there, there is not enough money in this world to EVER get me to even visit that spittoon posing as a city for even 5 minutes. I like to tell people NYC is like North Korea but with food. Everything revolves around the government and everything is regulated solely so they can steal as much as your money as possible with the cops being used as nothing more than revenue collectors. And you know why? So democraps can bribe for votes.
Those cameras were a scam . they are illegal!1 bn They have been overturned all over our nation for violating due process. they cannot prove who the driver is!! NEVER PAY!!
We have one here on Long Island. They call him the Red Light Robin Hood (real name Stephen Ruth).
He got busted for using a pole to turn the camera away from the intersection, and they just finished up his trial. Not sure of the sentence, but I know he avoided jail time.
Regards,
PS: Red light cameras are a menace and should be made illegal.
Hey...sorry. I misunderstood your post on that...too quick to pull the trigger here!
That’s ok. I was just trying to make a point. Thanks. Some folks take this personally. Its an intellectual discussion going on in this family. It’s OK!!
You bet, Wendle...thanks!
Interesting read on the absurdity of these things:
