I thought Mitt Romney was out of control, frightening, dangerous, extreme, etc. The leftists all said so...are they now saying they were lying?

I think that what is scary to the Left these days is that they have been living so long in their echo chamber / bubble that they think that they are the middle and anyone just outside of their views are conservatives i.e. Romney
Then they find out that the are conservatives further right than Romney (Trump, most Republicans) and that challenges their world view.
What really bends their brains are people like me who like me who didn’t vote for Trump because of his liberal history and we were concerned that he was not conservative enough.
