I was reminded that Don Jr once said they only had interactions with their dad in work settings. He wasn’t the kind of dad that played with them but showed his love by including them in his life.
Our President is a workaholic (thank God).

Perhaps Jr is trying to give his kids a bit of what he missed out on.

I didn’t mean it as a criticism, just observation. And of course, Eric doesn’t have kids yet.

I took it as your very observant. I also think you have really described why Don Jr. is taking time out to have fun with his children. I also admire Ivanka for taking their children with them when they travel. She too must feel a lot like her brother about children time.

I think Don and Eric really enjoyed spending a lot of time with their dad on the rally trail. It seems our President listened to their advise throughout the campaign. It will be time they will forever remember.
