Kudos to the workers who cleared all the trees and shrubs in the area below the spillway over the last few days.

You can see the tracks left behind by their vehicles. A few days ago, that entire area was covered with trees.

Strange nobody was worried about what animal habitats were being destroyed.

Exactly! Maybe the farmers in CA can use this scenario (cutting away bird/woodland animal sanctuaries/habitats) in solving their water issue case.
