A Tarrant County jury on Thursday sentenced a Mexican woman to eight years in jail a day after convicting her of two counts of illegal voting by a non-citizen. She will also have to pay an $8,000 fine.
During the trial, prosecutors showed that Rosa Maria Ortega -- a 37-year-old Mexican national who public records show has lived in the Dallas area since she was 15 -- falsely claimed U.S. citizenship on a voter registration form and voted five times between 2004 and 2014 ...

Excellent!
More! More! 59,999,999 more to convict of a crime, send to jail, THEN DEPORT.
Looks like ICE is now rounding up illegals all around the country. The Phoenix thing yesterday and now we see it going on in LA and other places. The good news is they don’t need to round them all up as the self-deportations are going to be massive. Imagine what it will be like when they cut off the welfare.
seems reasonable provided they deport her the day she gets out.
8 years is a little harsh. I’d rather have her deported after 2 years of time with no chance of returning. Taking care of her for 8 years with my taxpayer money seems like a reward.
WINNING!
Impossible. There is no voter fraud.
Seems like President Trump should announce that illegal aliens have 30 day or maybe 90 to pack up and leave else they risk the full force of US laws, including permanent bar from returning to the US. Point out that the laws are already in place and the US will now simply enforce existing laws. Other than sanctuary cities and revoking Obama’s executive orders and actions, plus the wall of course, not much else is needed. Scare them out of the US, save us some money in the process.
Harsh? Do you realize the deterant factor on that 8 year sentence? The very reason you think it seems harsh is the reason it needs to be that way.
Better yet...
Arrest, convict, and jail the politicians who encourage and enable non-citizens to vote, including Barack Obama.
I am looking forward to the report that Mike Pence will submit after doing their own investigation leaving Congress totally out of it while exposing them at the same time. This is now a Trump project and we know how those go down. Under budget and ahead of schedule. The only setbacks I see will be in the Supervisor of Elections offices giving up their voter roles. The administration has the other data resources to do a simple cross tab search. We also know that Trump can attract the talented people not in government who would engage in end results contracts instead of endless time and materials looking for a result.
I think what will end up happening is from the friendly SoE offices, the depth of the problems will be so evident that Congress will have to get involved so they can try to claim some credit. Adding Katherine Englebrecht and her True the Vote organization to be the outside contractor with an already bountiful database wail be key to a huge kick start. They have already been very big on the multiple registration/voting end of the pie.
Excellent
Yup. You nailed it. ICE gets the bulk of 'em "motivated" to self deport.
That is a great idea!
I’m sure this was an isolated case /sarc!
This woman is despicable. Absolutely no respect for the laws of the country she has lived in.
Why not try to get your affairs in order, lady? She’s had the time.
That sentence is going to send a lot of them rurunning for the border...if we announce a nationwide vote fraud investigation.
Wait. What? We were told most emphatically that there are no illegals voting and to suggest otherwise is rayciss.
We can deport her, but until the border has been secured, she’ll come right back. They just get new fake id. Was common knowledge when I lived in San Diego.
President Trump has already announced the formulation of the vote fraud investigation that will be headed by Vice President Mike Pence.
