Very sound advice. Pick the fights you know you will win.
Right now President Trump can rely on his Sec State and Attorney General to whip their departments into compliance to existing laws. Both departments have been operating outside those limits for the past 8 years.
Tactically, rescinding his current directive would neuter the court's intervention without getting bogged down in a constitutional fight. It would also reduce antagonistic rhetoric (OK nothing can stop the verbal diarreah from piglosi and little chuckie schumer) and focus on enabling him to get the new justice(s) into the SCOTUS.
Once all these are done he can HAMMER the bastards. Until then he needs to keep his ego in check and eat the apple one bite at a time.
I also like some other advice on this thread as well - such as issuing another EO that might make it harder for these yahoo’s to reject. In any event I would not count on this 4-4 court for much.
