President Trump blasted Sen. Richard Blumenthal Thursday for telling reporters that his Supreme Court pick called Trumps attacks of federal judges on Twitter demoralizing.
"Sen.Richard Blumenthal, who never fought in Vietnam when he said for years he had (major lie),now misrepresents what Judge Gorsuch told him?" Trump tweeted Thursday morning.

We do know Gorsuch should learn a lesson about trusting these people.
Pleased DJT reminded all Blumenthal flat out lied about Nam.
I heard this tweet this morning, while in the shower.
Trump makes my day with how he hits back at the bullies.
You can’t help but chuckle for a while after these go out.
I think Republicans and Gorsuch’s own people have confirmed the comments Blumenthal quoted are accurate.
If Trump said it that’s good enough for me! Now spineless Republicans get your a$$e$ in gear and start the process of sitting him in the Supreme Court! GET’ER DONE!!!!
“I think Republicans and Gorsuchs own people have confirmed the comments Blumenthal quoted are accurate.”
Really? Did you come from behind...or under that rock?
All anonymously sourced. Unless a man comes out on the record and gives his name and says he was in the room and heard it, why would you believe it?
“Sen. Kelly Atyotte, who is leading the charge to help confirm Gorsuch, put out a statement Thursday morning that attempted to clarify Gorsuch’s comments. “Judge Gorsuch has made it very clear in all of his discussions with senators, including Senator Blumenthal, that he could not comment on any specific cases and that judicial ethics prevent him from commenting on political matters,” Ayotte said. “He has also emphasized the importance of an independent judiciary, and while he made clear that he was not referring to any specific case, he said that he finds any criticism of a judge's integrity and independence disheartening and demoralizing.””
Both Bloomberg and the Guardian, that I have seen, are reporting that Gorsuch’s spokesman (the uber-GOPe operative Ron Bonjean (https://twitter.com/ronbonjean?lang=en)) last night confirmed Gorsuch’s statements.
So maybe Trump is on to the perfidy of Ryan and McConnell and Priebus (and maybe Pence), after all?

Senator Blumenthal and the media clearly misrepresented Gorsuch’s statement.
Trump is correct.
I mean are we saying that’s NOT a confirmation?
Thanks. That was the statement I was referring to upthread. Very general.
What’s demoralizing is that the judiciary has become a political arm of the government.
Here is Kellyanne this morning on it, with an article she just tweeted:
And Ayotte, of course, was herself as nasty a Never Trumper as they come.
Blumenthal and the media clearly took two words out of context to misrepresent what Judge Gorsuch had said in the private conversation.
Trump said Blumenthal misrepresented what Gorsuch had said.
Trump is correct.
We do not know what was said during the rest of the private conversation.
But we do know that Blumenthal and the media can not be trusted.
Gorsuch had to tell the President what he actually said.
Well, if that's true, there are millions of valid "criticisms of a judge's integrity and independence".....He should be prepared to be "disheartened and demoralized".
