If only we were able to deport citizens, we could use Trump's new policy of excluding those who are "hostile" toward our country to get rid of Judge James Robart.
Judge Robart's veto of Trump's travel ban notwithstanding, there is not the slightest question but that the president, in his sole discretion, can choose to admit or exclude any foreigners he likes, based on "the interests of the United States.
The Clinton administration used the executive branch's broad power over immigration to send a 6-year-old boy back to a communist dictatorship. The courts were completely powerless to stop him.
As explained by the federal appellate court that ruled on Elian Gonzalez's asylum application: "It is the duty of the Congress and of the executive branch to exercise political will," and "in no context is the executive branch entitled to more deference than in the context of foreign affairs," which includes immigration.
The court acknowledged that Elian might well be subjected to "re-education," "communist indoctrination" and "political manipulation." (Then again, so would enrolling him at Sidwell Friends.) It didn't matter! Sending little boys back to communist dictatorships was the policy of the Clinton administration.
The Obama administration's immigration policy was to ensure that millions of poverty-stricken foreigners would come here and help turn our country into a Mexican version of Pakistan.
When Arizona merely tried to enforce the federal immigration laws being ignored by the Obama administration, the entire media erupted in rage at this incursion into the majestic power of the president over immigration. They said it was like living in Nazi Germany!
The most reviled section of the act, melodramatically called the "Papers Please" law, was upheld by the Supreme Court. But the other parts, allowing state officials to enforce federal immigration laws, were ruled unconstitutional. A president's policy choice to ignore immigration laws supersedes a state's right to enforce them.

"It's okay when WE do it..."
Looks like a potential child molester to me!
There are days when I want to weep for the failure that W was. Especially when I see what idiots some of his appointees are.
I hear ya and I agree.
He was too soft.
George Bush’s approach to the Presidency was a LOT like the liberal approach to foreign wars, which is to fight juuuust so long as no one gets hurt.
And that’s what George W did:
He governed just so much that a minimum of libs would hate him.
And for THAT they loathed him, indeed loathe him to this very day.
Kudos to Ann Coulter.
Judge Robart is indeed a leftist appeaser and will do his best to undermine the rule of law and common sense when it comes to not only immigration but the well being of our nation.
Winston Churchill: “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.”
Make no mistake, if Robart and his leftist ilk succeed they may be eaten last but they’ll be just as dead.
She's right we keep importing a mjillion people a year who vote almost exclusively democrat. There is no way we can survive as a democracy doing that. We are headed to a one party democrat dictatorship through demographics unless this is stopped.
Robart illustrates the tyranny the citizens of the State of Washington endure from the Acid trip of the Left. For us it is a bad bad trip. Their alter reality is worse than the moving images on their walls. Daily they spew out the Big Lie as if it was the gospel truth.
The false charge that Trump’s Executive Order was unconstitutional was Kibuki Theater to make Trump fail. The lawsuit by Bob Ferguson and Governor Inslee was planned before Trump’s E.O. with Robart selected to sabotage Trump’s effort to protect America. It is why these conspirators should be held for sedition. It is why I call them DemonRATs.
few judge live in the real world. they don’t and do not want to get out much.
“Piss-ant judge” Go Ann!
But I did not know it was pissant.
It will be a nasty 4 years (hopefully 8). We need to fight to get rid of these Marxist judges. It will take a lot longer than 8 years but we need to start now. The left wing radicals have a 50 year start on us. We must start to cleanse the Legislative branch of our Government (get rid of the RINOS). Replace the leftist Judges (Will take time). Find an answer to the Marxist leaning education system. We have our work cut out for us.
What an awesome article. Thanks for posting it.
Of course she’s right. The absurdity of an odd looking leftist in Seattle deciding a state college’s desire to maybe have some professor visit from Syria in the next 90 days - outweighs the President’s decision to better vett refugees from ISIS land!
Mind you, these judges were badgering the government - Do you have any EVIDENCE on the record that any dangerous terrorist groups are operating in SYRIA that intend terrorism here? ! Anyone? ISIS anyone?
The Constitution and Congress have placed the authority
of deciding “who” should be allowed into this country with
the executive branch, and in particular, the President.
...IF... the courts now determine that such authority is
“unconstitutional”,
...THEN... who is it that can make such a decision in the future?
I have absolutely zero idea how the law works in this country, but can someone explain to me how in the hell a lunatic judge like this can bypass the POTUS especially when it comes to the defense of the citizen? This unreal.
This brings a disturbing thought about SC nominee Gorsuch. The "demoralizing" and "disheartening" comments are troubling. The context was concerning President Trump's displeasure with Judge Robart. I do not want to infer that Judge Gorsuch has a soft spot for the "ban" fiasco and refugees. This pick has to be ironclad. There is no do over nor guarantee of another pick no matter how decrepit the other justices are. The Republicans seem to have a mixed record on great justices. Most are mediocre in the textualists an originalist sense.
