Federal appeals court decides to schedule a hearing on Trump travel order

A federal appeals court will hear arguments Tuesday on whether to restore President Trump’s controversial immigration order, marking a critical juncture for the president’s directive temporarily barring refugees and those from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States.

The hearing, which will be conducted by telephone, is to review an order by a lower court judge to put Trump’s directive on hold.

It was scheduled just as Justice Department lawyers made their final written pitch to immediately restore the president’s order — and as tech companies, law professors and former high-ranking national security officials joined a mushrooming legal campaign to keep the measure suspended.

In two weeks almost all the nominees have been affirmed with the rest to follow soon. Impatience and hysteria are a terrible combination. Very immature.

Almost all? Try less than half. But that's okay, because sycophants are okay with lying, as long as it supports the Glorious Party.

And none of the deputies have been brought up yet. Will these also take 3 days per? There are 600 to go through. 1800 days will bring us to 2024.

And no legislation of any importance has been brought up.

Fear, fear, fear. Fear of having the "guilt" of destroying the filibuster, which is going to be destroyed anyway in 2021.

All that it has considered have been affirmed. Sessions today, no need for the “nuclear option” just solid work. Well done.

The most important have seen ZERO losses, that will continue as a matter of course.

Panic, hysteria, brainlessness does nothing for your credibility.

What would you prefer spending 5 minutes per nomination or actually taking them seriously? Legislation is not worked on by the whole Senate but in the committees and sub-committees and is being done.

Most of the critics don’t understand the way things work or the complications of dealing with Congressional rules and procedures.

Any legislation passed in two weeks would not be of much use other than providing laughs for comedians. No thanks.

They've had 6 YEARS to come up with legislation. Every day without an AG has been a loss. Every day without a Treasury Secretary is a loss.

Why is the GOP so afraid of a loss? Because they have kept the filibuster. If they got rid of the filibuster, they would have the votes. But they kept the filibuster, and they are scared to death of 8 DEM's. Heitkamp and Manchin! Yes, but they still need 6 more.

Yes, sure, blame the procedures and rules. But the GOP can set the rules and set the procedures. So by blaming the procedures and rules, you are agreeing with me that the GOP is at fault for the delay.

Here is the McConnell GOP strategy:

1. Do nothing and blame the filibuster. Voters will give them a filibuster-proof majority in 2 years! (Voters never reward failure.)

2. Do nothing and then when the Democrats take power, the filibuster will still be there to protect us! (The Democrats will invoke the nuclear option.)

3. When the Democrats invoke the nuclear option, complain about the attack on our cherished national traditions! (Voters care about results, not arcane procedures.)

It is zero-dimensional chess, a strategy proper to an 8-year-old boy.

The only words not false and ridiculous are the “the”s, the “a”s and “and”.

You probably plant a seed and complain that it doesn’t give you a crop in a week.

True conservatives are standing firm, understand that legislatures move slowly and are unaffected by impatient whining for the impossible.

Telephone again. Really? Is this the 1950s? Planes fly to the west coast from everywhere hundreds of times a day. It loses something when via phone and is the epitome of chicken sh!t.

Do it right, guys; be professional.
