Something very similar was stated by Charles Krauthammer several years ago: Conservatives think that Leftists are either stupid or misguided, but Leftists think that Conservatives are evil. Just like the Arab-Israeli conflict, when one side thinks that the other is evil and has no right to exist, there is simply no room for negotiation, common ground or compromise. It is war, and the side that is tougher and smarter will win.

Yeah, I think that somewhere around 90% of the 400 million+ guns held by the populace is owned by non-Leftists. They’re way outnumbered, and that is before you factor in the people on each side who’ve actually been in a firefight, and who can deal with combat. Then it isn’t 9:1, it is probably more like 50:1. They should be careful what they wish for.

If Krauthammer said this, he "borrowed" it from Rush Limbaugh, who was the originator of the phrase. Regardless, there is much truth and good insight in this obversation.

It is so unfortunate that the American Left doesn’t understand Trump is THEIR last chance for a peaceful revolution.

Take The Donald out of the equation and we have no more reason to let THEM live in peace.
