One doesn’t turn one’s cheek on evil.

Matthew 5:38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. (NKJV)

If you decide to fight this person who is evil where does that leave you?

What was Christ talking about when he told his disciples to sell their cloak and buy a sword?

Not resisting evil is helping it.

Evil people kill, maim, torture, rape, and enslave others. You think they should be tolerated and not fought with? Thus allowing them to cause more suffering to innocent people? That’s a very odd understanding.
