I don’t see why Russia is in cahoots with Iran. Muslim extremists hate Russia.
If I was talking to Putin about Iran, I would tell him that snake will eventually bite him, followed with “You don’t want another Beslan.”
Iran and Russia have been tight for a long while. Caucasus region, diplomatic and economic ties. The US sanctions against Iran have driven Russia and Iran closer I suspect.
Because at the end of the day. Putin is not our friend. And you will see that. The problem is the Obama/McCain sanction-isolation strategy only strengthens such ties. We need to “ally” with Russia to weaken their sphere of influence. Not strengthen.
