Aren’t Audis Swedish?

German company.

I believe they are assembled in Germany and Hungary.

They are the luxury brand of VW. Sort of like Lincoln and Ford. Some models share the chassis platform. They also depreciate like anvils dropping.

AUDI is an acronym, which stands for: Auto Union Deutschland Ingolstadt.

(Deutschland being Germany)

You may have heard of the Auto Union Grand Prix race car from the 30s. It was way ahead of its time, with a massive V-12 or V-16 mid-engine configuration.

Some still exist, you can see one being run on youtube.
