It is sad to say but I agree with you. Savages will attack you for wearing a hat like that and yet the victim is the one who suffers not the savages. It is an upside down world right now. I thought once O was out of office things would reverse a bit but I guess I was wrong.
I never advertise my politics either. Their bullying, however, is why they were taken by surprise so at the election: they can make us not want to display our views, but when it’s time to vote, they find out how we really feel.
I’ve never lived through such a time as this, where one has to be so aware of what others may think of my clothing, or my expression of politics. This is close to the danger of wearing the ‘wrong’ Gang Color’ when in a certain part of town.
As a kid, I already knew to avoid those hot spots.
They were hot spots. The ‘danger’ was not almost anywhere outside of the house as is the case now.
We as a society will move past this moment of hypersensitivity, but it’s going to take about ten to twelve years for the primal behavior to burn itself out.
