And at the recent N.B.A. All-Star Game, Mr. Mezvinsky took a seat next to Mr. Clinton and his partner in charitable endeavors, Dikembe Mutombo, the former basketball star.
Beyond the glamour, being part of the Clinton family has provided Mr. Mezvinsky with another perk: access to wealthy investors with ties to the Clintons.
When Mr. Mezvinsky and his partners began raising money in 2011 for a new hedge fund firm, Eaglevale Partners, a number of investors in the firm were longtime supporters of the Clintons, according to interviews and financial documents reviewed by The New York Times. Tens of millions of dollars raised by Eaglevale can be attributed to investors with some relationship or link to the Clintons.
The investors include billionaire hedge fund managers like Marc Lasry* and James Leitner; an overseas money management firm connected to the Rothschild family; and people from Goldman Sachs, including the chief executive, Lloyd C. Blankfein. Some of the investors in Eaglevale have contributed campaign money to the former president and Mrs. Clinton. Some have also contributed to the familys foundation.

Sources told Page Six that Mezvinsky, now married into Americas most ambitious political family, left his position right before the holidays and took off for Jackson Hole. We hear that hes been there through January and that his wife, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, plans on visiting him every few weeks.
Calls to his phone number at 3G Capitals Third Avenue office went unanswered, while a co-worker told us he was unavailable. A rep for the Clinton family didnt get back to us for comment.
Stanford-educated Mezvinksy had a rising career on Wall Street, having worked at Goldman Sachs before going to work for 3G Capital in 2008.
He is the son of former TV correspondent and Pennsylvania Congresswoman Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky and Ed Mezvinsky, an Iowa congressman who served five years in jail after he pleaded guilty in 2002 to defrauding dozens of investors out of $10 million. He was released in April 2008 but remained on federal probation and still owed more than $9 million in restitution to his victims.
The younger Mezvinsky married Clinton in a lavish ceremony in Rhinebeck last summer in front of 400 guests, including Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, former White House adviser Vernon Jordan and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
The happy couple lives albeit separately while Marc hits the slopes in an apartment on Fifth Avenue that Mezvinsky bought in 2008.
