I read about the security deal on an earlier post here at FR, and also that even though Milo got the security, the Univ backed out of the deal.
The earlier post said it was a common ruse, to get events cancelled.
From an interview Milo had with Tucker the evening of the riot. I recall him saying that prior to the scheduled time of his appearance (he didn’t give an exact time) the Republican club was told they had to pay the college extra money for the security of the event. It was an amount that they did not have but an anonymous donor gave the money to cover the expense

Correct. They were on the phone with Hannity radio yesterday. Originally, the college was trying to charge them $10K (a ridiculously high charge) for security. It was eventually reduced to $6K. Donor paid.
College KEPT the money despite the event had not occurred. He mentioned contacting Jay Sekulow and having solid legal recourse. Then Hannity volunteered to make a guest appearance at the school (bringing his own security team).
