For sure ! First movie I ever saw him in was Mr Forbush And The Penguins ( 1971 ) with Hayley Mills , and he was great even then .

"...the definitive Caligula" I'll never forget how oily/dangerous he made Caligula. His portrayal of Caligular's self-declaration of god-hood was absolutely chilling. RIP Mr. Hurt.

In I, Claudius the definitive Caligula! That was my first real exposure to him. I was awed by the performance.
