My thought on the EPA is that nothing useful has come out of that agency since 1990. Rules should be rolled back to that time, maybe even earlier. If there are any legitimate concerns that have been addressed since then, then the science must be shown and proven to be true. Not fake science like global warming, but real facts that back up assertions.
Not just the EPA, but all government agencies and departments desperately try to spend every last penny they are earmarked to justify next year’s budget. I’ve seen it up close and personal. If there is money left over and the clock is ticking, they’ll buy expensive office furniture and wall ‘art’ to use up their money. The system itself is broken.
