If humans coupled with animals in the Bible, they were to be killed along with the animals. I admit, the Bible doesn't say "thou shalt not edit thy genome using retroviruses," but it also doesn't have a prohibition against cannabalism. Some things are just supposed to be common sense. How can any good come from mixing pig and human genes? Imagine the viruses, the diseases, the moral problems. It's just technology that is beyond us. I will repeat what the Crispir page says--

I mean- that doesn't make you want to puke??
I believe God designed us and meant for us to be able to make atom bombs or edit our genomes.
Why do you think this technology and progress all happened in the Christian west?
