Sorry, but I don’t agree. Yet. Not if you consider Reagan modern. Perhaps I’m slow, but it took five years before I was willing to admit that Obama had outstripped President Buchanan as the worst occupant of our White House in history. President Trump has had an amazing week, but I’ll want to see how he does over at least four years before I promote him above the greatest president of the past 150 years.
How will President Trump do against his first military challenge (or are our adversaries too afraid to find out)?
How will President Trump do at resisting the seduction of DC, the hundred variants of “you’ve kept enough promises, now enjoy the perks and build a legacy”.
How will he do at cutting the size of government?
How will he do at getting large numbers of illegals out of America and then instituting a legal immigration system that brings in the workers we need for jobs that cannot be filled by Americans, only, and keeps illegals out - and does so in a manner that endures longer than Obama’s ephemeral legacy?
Better than anyone we have seen in a hundred years for sure.
