Mexican president ‘rejects’ Trump orders, vows to protect immigrants inside US

Hours after U.S. President Donald Trump signed executive orders to curb illegal immigration, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto promised Wednesday night to protect Mexicans in the United States.

"Where there is a Mexican migrant at risk that requires our support, your country should be there," Peña Nieto said in a brief address to his nation, which he said was a response to Trump's actions earlier in the day.

"Our communities are not alone," Peña Nieto said. "The Mexican Government will provide them with the legal advice, which guarantees the protection they require."

Specifically, he said, "the 50 Mexican consulates in the United States will become authentic advocates for the rights of migrants." He didn't provide details on what he said he wanted them to do.

Peña Nieto is scheduled to meet with Trump next Tuesday to discuss trade and immigration. But after Trump signed the two orders — one to begin steps to fund Trump's promised wall along the U.S.-Mexican border and the other to significantly boost the U.S. Border Patrol — Peña Nieto said he was consulting with Mexican officials in Washington to decide on "the next steps."

While he stopped short of canceling the meeting, he insisted: "Mexico offers and demands respect as the fully sovereign nation we are."

Peña Nieto said he "regrets and rejects" Trump's orders Wednesday because "Mexico does not believe in walls."

"I have said it over and over again: Mexico will not pay for any wall," he stressed.

The showdown over immigration isn't the only tense topic on the agenda for next week's meeting, assuming it goes forward. Trade would also be a key issue of discussion with Trump, who promised during his campaign to renegotiate the terms of the North American Free Trade Agreement.

According to the govt of Mexico, illegals on US soil are, in fact, Mexican citizens.

==============================================

AFFIDAVIT BY THE GOVERNMENT OF MEXICO
IN A SWORN AFFIDAVIT TO A TEXAS COURT, MEXICO
SWORE THAT MEXICANS ON US SOIL ARE MEXICAN CITIZENS.

A sworn affidavit by Mexico/s Consul General to a Texas court asserts that Mexico/s official govt policy is to encourage its poor people to migrate here illegally in order to access our generous welfare system

The Mexican consul's sworn testimony asserts that: "My responsibilities in this position include protecting the rights and promoting the interests of my fellow Mexican nationals, and, that the main responsibility of consulates is to provide services, assistance, and protection to Mexican nationals abroad."

A footnote states that Mexican nationality is granted to children born abroad of a Mexican born parent. IOW, anchor babies born in the US retain parents Mexican nationality.

==========================================

Ergo, illegals have two governments looking after their interests.....our govt subsidizing them, and the Mexican govt making sure they collect.

Its time the US govt look after the interests of American citizens.

He’s going to have enough to worry about when all his criminals are returned to their homeland.

So, Señor Nieto, why didn’t you protect your citizens when they were IN May-hee-co? Why is your country such a ****hole that millions of your citizens felt they had to escape?

Just curious, who do you think, from the Obama Admin, is advising this Mexican President? I figure he must be getting clandestine help from the previous Admin on how to thwart the Trump Admin.

The Mexican president must have spent the day at my oldest son’s private, Christian school. The history teacher there told them and I quote, “to build a wall around our country is rude.” (He also told all the kids they would get free college if Bernie won because none of the children at this $15k per year establishment are “rich”).

Thank God my youngest is homeschooled and likes to chant “Build that wall! Build that wall!”

I love Trump’s executive order saying we’re going to use visas and withholding them as a way to force nations to take back illegal immigrants and criminals that otherwise were forced to stay here because we had nowhere to send them.

Mexico sends these “migrants” (illegals) to the US to work and send remittances back home.

Remittances are the #1 source of revenue for Mexico now, surpassing even oil exports. Theirs is a parasitic economy, with ours as the host.

Of course they have a serious, vested interest in keeping this going.

Hard to find exactly how much US foreign aid is sent to Mexico - I did find this. It’s almost a $billion annually. That should stop and we use those tax payer funds for the wall!!

Mexico is really, really stupid.

If every morning you walk over to your neighbors yard and take a dump on his lawn and he does nothing about it, who's stupid?

Americans (including President Trump) have no problem with immigrants. We do have problems with illegal aliens who have come to defraud Americans of jobs, services and assistance intended for Americans in need. Trump’s orders do not apply to the President or people in Mexico — only those in the US illegally.

The second a Mexican Embassy in the US steps up to help an illegal alien in the US, it should be considered prima facie evidence of their illegal immigrant status and they should be deported immediately after serving prison for whatever other crime they committed.

I hope Trump asks El Presidente (on camera, in front of the press) just how Mexican policy toward illegal immigrants works . . .

If this wasn’t an invasion and there weren’t dozens of millions of Mexicans within our borders why would Mexico have 5 consulates in Arizona and 10 in California.. http://www.mexonline.com/consulate.htm
