I know that if McCain is criticizing it, it was a good move.

McCain service to the American people cost five expensive aircraft and millions$ more as a ISIS booster.

Retirement should be in Leavenworth.

".... 'President Trump’s decision to formally withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a serious mistake that will have lasting consequences for America’s economy and our strategic position in the Asia-Pacific region,' McCain said in a statement...."

Like McLame knows something about the economy. McCain was famous for saying in the 2008 fall campaign when the economy was collapsing, that he didn't know much about the economy or something to that effect. He passed on suspending his campaign to go to DC to talk about the problems the country was facing (Obama did go and looked much more presidential in doing so).

Asking McPain how to improve the economy is like asking a homeless street person what you should wear to attend your daughter's wedding. He knows nothing about it.

Judging from the comments of this thread, FR is no longer a site that advocates lower taxes.

WTH???

This site has always been for a Constitutional-abiding government. The problem is, it has not been and you can go back 50 to 100 years of the establishment ignoring the Constitution and ultimately its Constitutional-abiding citizens. In fact, it now abuses those citizens.

Trump represents those citizens fighting back like so many on this site. TPP was made in the best interest of the DC establishment and their cronies in Wall Street. At least the citizens, represented by Trump, will have a say in this now. So to claim what you wrote about the Constitutional-abiding citizens here is just ridiculous.

My vote for McCain in 2008 was a serious mistake.

Mine too. I wish I could take it back. Even with Palin on the ticket.

TPP lowers taxes. Trump’s brand of populism wants protectionism. It really isn’t that hard to see that this move by Trump does not advance liberty.

What choice did you have? McCain would have been less damaging than O domestically, but he’s an intemperate warmonger abroad

Hogwash!

There are other ways to lower taxes especially by cutting the size and scope of government which he intends to do as well. That does the most for advancing liberty. Like I said, now the citizens have their say in trade, represented by Trump, not just the DC Establishment and their cronies on Wall Street.

Your claim that these good people here do not advocate lower taxes, just because many do not support what the DC establishment is trying to shove down our throats, is just pure hogwash.

If Juan McLame thinks it’s serious mistake, it’s good move.

P1: Tax cuts promote freedom
P2: TPP is a tax cut
P3: FR opposes TPP

C: FR opposes a freedom-promoting tax cut

The logic isn’t really that difficult.

It’s not logic, what you post is nuance. You can nuance it all you want but now the people now have a say in this trade deal.

I would say that advances freedom for all, not just the DC establishment and their cronies in Wall Street.

It still does not absolve your foolish statement saying people here do not advocate lower taxes. You must have some kind of personal interest in TPP to be so sour about it.

People who want to stop TPP are against a tax cut. No nuance there at all. Simple fact. FR opposes this tax cut.
