Worse, how the hell did they get “dark” out of that? Patriotism has no room for prejudice? All Americans together as one? Making America a better country for the forgotten men and women??
I think they would have found George Washington’s speeches dark and anti Semitic. Same with Patrick Henry’s.

They would have said that regardless of what Trump said. The goal of the left is to label, label, label so that people judge based on the labels and not on the actuality.
For decades, the left has used labels to tar and smear conservatives. Their goal is to destroy the country, so they must attack the sentiments that predispose people to support the country--thus they condition their followers to equate freedom and national security with racism, sexism, etc. It is long past time for us to fight back and render that tactic useless. We can begin by challenging them to explain, for example, exactly what is dark and anti-Semitic about securing our borders and rebuilding our economy.
