I have a granddaughter who is 16 now. Every year she and a friend spend a week on our boat with me. The parents of the friend have met me and know that I keep tabs on them. No way in heck would I let them go on vacation there without me.
I guess if you have Secret Service watching over you it’s all good.
Unfortunately, SS doesn't parent. They've let Malia drink and do drugs when she was underage. When the family was in Martha's Vineyard this past summer (Malia had turned 18 three weeks before) they let a party get out of control so much that they had to sneak her out the back before the cops raided the house. We all know she'd been partying long before she turned 18 so SS nor her parents nipped it in the bud. I suspect her poor decision making is why she didn't follow through on the internship with Amb. Costos in Spain last summer.
FYI, Costos was given the ambassadorship because his boyfriend is Michael Smith who has decorated all the Obama's houses, including the WH and their new house bought in the same CA neighborhood so the Obamas, Smith and Costos will all be together.
