Agreed. It demands repeating. Especially considering that protests are public events held in public places and in such places nobody has a right to privacy. They can be filmed by the police and anyone else that happens to be nearby.

Another option is possible, since the D.C.police are a 'reactionary force' is or them to turn off all issued body cams
and activate helmet mounted "Go Pro" cameras with Zoom capacity
Given the "Days of Rage" anarchist incident in 1968 at the DNC, I am sure that "GO Pro" would enjoy the additional advertising for providing them to police !
