Sorry...forgot to mention. I moved to Maine. It has both good and bad points.

No argument from me about the virtues of the Mediterranean climate of California versus the crappy winters here in Maine, although this winter has been rather mild.

I went to college in L.A., lived for many years in Santa Barbara, moved to Maine, then moved to the Santa Ynez Valley above Santa Barbara in the early 1990’s (Solvang) then came back here to Northern New England in 1992.

Looks like the drought is coming to an end in Northern California. Is this the case in Southern California, too?

From my experience I've found the same goes for every place on this planet.

Everything in life is cyclical, including politics. CA can turn around and rapid political changes do occur. Just like what's happening in 1.5 days. Few if anyone believed it would ever happen, but here we are, complete with mass hysteria. ☺
