President-elect Donald Trump still has a friend in Garth Brooks despite the country singer turning down the opportunity to sing at his inauguration.
Brooks explained he's all about "People Loving People" and is "praying" for Trump but due to a scheduling conflict, he ultimately had to turn down performing on January 20.

the word love has no clear meaning today, needs to be clarified when spoken or it’s just a feel good sound bite.
I agree with similar others wrote, Garth is about Garth, (ticket sales his biz etc) not country or people even.

The President’s Own Marine Band starts playing at 9:30 AM Friday and plays throughout the ceremony. There will be numerous wonderful ensembles marching in the parade. All the different military bands play at various inaugural balls.
That’s enough for me. Don’t need any of these high priced prima donnas.
