Just a word of praise for this man. I was fortunate to be included on his FR mail list. He wrote us often with inside campaign news and poll analyses. Because he saw the victory coming, we saw it coming too. While the media constructed it’s scenario of a hillary victory , LS blew that up sometimes daily with facts. He was “dead on” in places like Florida and Ohio very early with analysis of mail in ballot distribution and return . We all knew that South Florida was not strong enough to overcome the tsunami in the Panhandle.
I will recommend this book and I will read this book . I am a big fan of LS.
I’m with you...I loved his “Patriot’s History”. I would say it is the polar opposite of “A People’s History of The United States” by the repellent and despicable Howard Zinn, but that would be completely inaccurate and unfair to LS’s book, because that would imply it is just as untruthful and deceitful but from the other end of the political spectrum.
Zinn’s propaganda work, force fed to school children, is a leftist work of tripe not worthy of even being fuel during an emergency. It is unfailingly leftist and anti-American.
LS’s work “A Patriot’s History of the United States: From Columbus’s Great Discovery to the War on Terror” give context to things that may not have been our shining moments, but does it without sugarcoating them. It is an evenhanded treatment with appropriate context. How rare that seems nowadays.
I also read “Halsey’s Bluff”, which is an alternate history version...
